Is there a heating element that can withstand sulphur water?

I'm having to replace my lower heating element in my Water Heater about every 3 weeks. What has happened is the house we bought sat for quite some time. We're on a well and it's sulphur. Clear water with no turbidity ( dirtiness ) but I guess over time there has been a lot of sulphur sediment build up in the bottom of the water heater tank. I tried to drain it but it's so full of sediment that there is no flow out of the drain and I can't get it to flow. So I've just been replacing the heating elements. They will last about three weeks and then the sulphur will collect on the element and eventually eat a hole right through it and it will trip the breaker or just stop heating. So I do it all over again. I haven't replaced the tank because I'm planning on going to a tankless system but I'm still checking into all of that to see if a tankless electric system will work well with sulphur. Are there any other sulphur rejecting elements or coating that I can put on the ones I have?

The best thing to do is to install a Filter System in the house that runs on the main water line that specifically filters out the sulfur. There are various filters for all sorts of sediment and such but you have to buy the right hosing for the right filter. most Big Box stores sell these components and should be knowledgeable on them.

On the Level: Pros and cons of a timer on Hot Water heater
Q: We are gone from the house during most of the day and we are looking to minimize our electrical use all around. We have a programmable thermostat for heat and air. We're thinking a timer for the hot water heater might help. What are the pros and cons of a timer? A: Certainly more pros than cons. Basically the timer is a switch that you control to turn itself on or off at whatever time of day ...
