Chevy S10 overheated--Please reply?
I overheated my S10 going up on the mountain. The radiator spouted a hole and started spraying. It is a 1994 and the engine was Shut Off before it got to the red but it eventually got there (barely, first red line)What could this overheating have caused? Could it have ruined the engine? Done damage to something? Please give me any info you can.
When your car overheats, it puts too much stress on the engine. Yes, it could have done damage to your engine. If you can get it to a mechanic, have them take a look at it. They will be able to tell you more about what happened. It quite possibly could have ruined the engine, of course when my car overheated, I had it towed to the shop, and they fixed it... if you can, get it in there ASAP. A certified mechanic can answer all of your questions.
