Has anyone ever stayed in a hotel on Catalina Island, CA?
My FI and I want to honeymoon on Catalina Island. We have been doing research online, but the places we like and can afford seem to get mixed reviews. We want a room with a 2 person tub and a kitchen. We are going to be staying for a week and I love to cook. Plus it is going to be our honeymoon so we will be spending a lot of time in. Has anyone stayed at a place that have these amenities that they would recommend?
There is plenty to do in Catalina... snorkeling, kayaking, hiking, parasailing, tours, restaurants, shops, etc. so we won't get board. We don't want to go to Vegas because we want the beach and outdoor activities. We can spend $1000 - 1300 on the hotel room, but not anymore than that.
Island zoning says no big chain hotels...they are smallish or B+B type places...If you go to the Catalina Island Chamber of Commerce website they have tons of info and also some discount coupons...I like your idea for a slow paced vacation...
